ELECTRIC FAN - Make & model ? - S2
Discussion
Need help from you guys, seems the problem for my meltdown was the electric fan packing up. A direct feed to it from the battery has produced no effect!
Does anyone know the make and model number or what car it can be salvaged from ? or even what part of it can be replaced or is likely to have failed.
If anyone can let me know asap as i would really like to get the car finished today ready for the weekend.
I can be emailed direct at markj@packmanlucas.co.uk
cheers

According to the parts guide it's a TVR part, number KOO62. However, the radiator's from a LDV Sherpa, so you could try talking to your local LDV parts supplier, if you have such a thing.
Or you could replace it with a more modern Kenlowe fan:

As it's an S2, I assume you need "Suck" rather than "Blow".

Ah, right more developments, seems the fan is now working again, but on inspecting the fusebox, the wiring to the fan fuse/relay has melted !...anyone know what could cause this to happen? The previous owner mentioned that he had to change the fan fuse on two occasions. Is this a common problem?...No wonder the poor car overheated on one of the hottest days this year !
