Tamora face lifts

Been looking for a good tam for a while and was hoping for one with the face lifted front end, ie improved light clusters. I am going to look at one on the weekend with the old school front which is not my preference...is it possible to change this easily? what would be the cost of said job? anyone done it?

I'd imagine actually changing the lights wouldn't be too much bother for someone who has a little GRP experience. For someone to do it for you, I'd guess at a bill in the £500 ballpark for the GRP work alone.

The difficulty would be painting and matching the colour on the front end with the rest of the car. If its a flat colour, then not too bad. Metallic then a little harder but again not too bad. I can't say for certain what this type of paint would cost, but I'd imagine somewhere in the region of about £500 - £800.

If you go for any reflex, spectraflair or pearl paint effects, I'd imagine a FULL repaint of the car would be necessary - possibly costing in the region of about £5k!!!!!

Also, think re-sell - a car with a different front end than it should have - "has it been in a smash" would be the first thing I'd be thinking???

All in all, If you need a facelift car, then get one that was done from the factory.

I have a pre-facelift and although admitidly not as pretty, I still love it.
