Ordered me a new/old stock drivers side window regulator on advice from the glass fitters from rimmer bros as my window doesnt raise properly.
Greeted with a nice long cardboard box on my doorstep noticed some puncture holes in the box, opened the package up and found the metal sector gear had two of its teeth bent at 90 degrees-looked like it had had a right wallop as the metal was torn either side of the two gear teeth.
Mailed rimmers about the damage-just got a mail back saying its meant to look like that as the bent teeth stop the mechanism lifting too far!!

Anyhow are these easyish to fit or should i entrust it to someone with a few more brain cells smile

Though I saw one on Ebay the other day ..

Looks fairly tricky to fit - if you are not confident with the old spanners - It might be best to entrust the job to a mechanic.

Fairly easy to fit - extracting unit thru' hole in door is 'interesting' main issue is final alignment of glaas / frame / runners etc.

Before you fit it check the old one to see if it has a extra bolt through the toothed quad plate. The bent tooth described is correct for the original rover installation but tvr added a bolt to limit the lower travel even further on mk1 doors.
