Hi All

I have an imminent Mot and realised that one of the main beam driving lights ( either side of the number plate ) was smashed and after closer inspection it looks like i need to replace the both of them !!!!

After the shock of the prices Quoted to me ( between £70 and £150 each ! ) i seem to recall they were a bmw part but not 100 % sure so am after any advice from the techies out there

The lights are Cibie / Valleo and the part number is 082346 -
Any help much appreciated

Thanks

Ty

I could get these for a reasonable price up until last week. They have gone up in price nearly 3 times, as have most of Valeos lamps.

Hi Del

Thanks for the number it was different from the one i had which was the trade sales desk !!

I called the chap and got the pair for £140 so a saving of £20 and he was pretty helpful too as apparently my part number shows i have continental left hander lights !!! He got the correct number and will send the rights handers :-)

It all helps and means more pennies for le mans WHOOHOO

I just hope they survive the trip

Ty

It's not rocket science - motor factors will sell them. 'Carbodisk' comes to mind - they're flat; mine are slightly curved, for a Capri I think!

NB As for Valeo tripling their prices, surely there must be other spots available that will fit?

Thanks Del for the number and everyone else for the comments and advice

I tried the E30 adverts and also the capri hellas and they were both looking hard to find.

In the end i got the pair direct for £138 delivered so at least i can sort the mot and get back on the road again !!

Thanks all and see you all in lemans hopefully without any chips !!!!

Maybe a bit late now, but I got a pair from Halfords, £50 each (was about a year ago). Seems it is a TVR specific part (Valeo) which just has to be bizzare - why couldn't they find a set of spots in a bits box somewhere?

Mine are Cibies. I think they're just 3 1/2" 'Driving lights'
I got mine from a local Motor Factors £39 +VAT each.

GRRRRR - They always get cheaper just AFTER the nick of time

I tried motor factors and got a quote of £124 each and even the carpri hellas were majorly expensive too.

Thanks all and stop telling me you can get them cheaper now !!!
