Yup, got them to check over my S4 avant when i first got it, diagnosed 3 issues in the space of an hour, fixed all 3 with minimum fuss even managed to fault find an internal comms issue with VAG-COM, (no mean feat in itself).
Doug is the nicest guy and very knowlegeable on fast Audis. Reasonable rates for a specialist.
Many guys run custom MRC ECU maps with no problems.

The name "Doug" rings a bell - it's not people from AMD is it before they were bought out/closed down/whatever happened?

Don't think so, but can't be sure. Best bet is check them out on RS246.com, Mihnea (sp?) and Doug both post on there fairly frequently answering tech queries and so on, although to be fair thats where most of their customer base hangs out.
AMD are still going as far as i know.

AMD are still going but they were bought out by another tuner (presumably after operational/financial trouble) and are now located in Surrey/Essex. Same technology, different people.

Looking for someone to remap my S3 and Essex is a bit far - might as well go to QST if I have to travel that far.

FWIW I believe the main people from the 'old' AmD now trade as APS from Brackley in Northants and have a good reputation.

used MRC a few years back to remap my old S4 - they did a great job, friendly chaps and I would use them again with no hesitation

I got my car trailered down to them from Scotland to diagnose the running problems, which they did well.
Also got them to remap it taking it to approx 420 bhp

Doug is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and busy

Doug is off of the S2 forum and really knows his way around fast Audis. He joined forces with Mik and started MRC and is not a former member of AMD (that is APS as has been mentioned already).

I have taken my car to them twice and both times the car has been sorted exactly how I wanted it and I haven't yet heard a bad word about them so they come highly recommended from me.

Had a number of cars with MRC maps on the rollers, and the chaps have mapped a couple of cars here. Would defo recommend.

I came across them on a couple of Audi forums, and that, together with a recommendation from Rob was enough.

Very helpful, very efficient. I would/WILL use them again.
