rattle in front doors

Hi there.Bit of a weird problem really.When my front windows are fully closed I get this small but annoying rattle on both drivers and passenger sides.When I lower the windows the rattle noises disappear.Has anybody the faintest idea what the problem is?

Its a 1998 318 but is the e46 shape

Window mech. on it's way out I'm affraid. There's a dealer fix-kit for it. Not an easy job but possible to do by yourself.

Give the door a tap all the way around the outside edge. It might just be a loose clip.
