I was just watching a programme called Motorway on the Bravo channel, only caught the last 5 mins though. Anyway a woman is seen by 3 seperate witness firing a gun from her Peugot as she drives up the motorway (the witnesses note her reg. and pass the info onto police). The cameras cut to the police turning up at her house for a 'bust'. Then the programme moves on, the police are chassing a motorist at 116mph, the driver gets pulled and the narrator tells us that the man went to court, paid a large fine and lost his license. The cameras then cut back to the 'bust' at this womans flat. She gets arrested and taken back to the station where the police release her with a caution.

WTF? Did I miss something? She was firing a gun as she was driving for s sake! Maybe it was a fake, but the narrator never gave any details. Rubbish.

On a lighter note, just as the credits rolled the narrator mentioned that she wasn't a woman at all (yet), it was actually a bloke who was half way through a sex change.

Whats wrong with guns? All the same arguments we all use for speeding could well be used for guns.

Its not speed that kills its recklessness

Its nnot guns that kill its psychopaths with guns

Don't believe all the dunblane cr*p you hear. No ones mentioned that gun crime has risen every year since guns were outlwed did they?

Made a lot of sense to take guns away from normal people didn't it?

Both are safe.

Burning petrol or propellant...you know it makes sense!

I liked the bumper sticker I saw in Texas many years ago:

"Guns don't kill people; people kill people ...
and I'm reloading!"

Think you guys are missing the point. The gun in question was being fired by a nutter.

The original post was complaining about the police response being out of proportion to the two incidents.

I'm inclined to believe this was more due to lack of resources firstly, then lack of evidence.

At least I F G hope so!

I think the police are sensitive to the word gun. When someone leant out of their car window and threw a housebrick, which hit my car the police just weren't interested. Why is it any different
