Audi A4 TDI advice please - 5 Speed - is it 100 or 130
Discussion
My father's looking at a 2003 A4 SE Avant.
Can anyone advise if it's a 130 or a 100 hp model. Whats confusing is it only has 5 speed 'box but is meant to be a 130 - I thought all 130's were 6 speed (or does this only apply to VW Golfs/Passat?) a friend has the same year car (130) but a Sport rather than SE model and that has a 6 speed box, could it vary with spec?
As above, it's 5 speed, has a red 'I' on the TDI and the tax emmissions are 151 (£145 per year).
So what is it 100 or 130 hp??

My 2002 A4 TDi 130 is a 5 speed.
The way to tell is the engine code, AWX is the 130bhp unit.

Likewise. I have a 2001 130 sport version 5 speed box which is fine. I was led to belive that the difference may be that the 115 has manual rear windows and electric front where 130 has elec front and rear. The way to tell is the engine code, AWX is the 130bhp unit.

Nowt to do with electric windows I'm afraid - that is to do with trim level and build year. Had 3 A4s - 2001 petrol SE, 2002 diesel std, 2004 model (53 plate) diesel Sport - none had electric windows though they are all 130bhp models. Std rear electric windows came in later IIRC on certain models.
