Can one of you answer a question for me?

Are the LED front fog lights on an A5 always on, as some kind of daytime running lights for example?

The reason I ask is that I have never seen a single A5 without them switched on - even in bright sunlight.

Can you genuinely not turn them off, or is it just that you think they look cool?

They're always on - a bit like on a Volvo ... errr I'm not saying that the A5 is like a Volvo but it's the same principle.

If you delve into the MMI menus you can find the setting to turn off the day time running lights.
As a default from the factory they are set to be on permanently.

Ours are on at the moment and they certainly attract attention. Whether the effect will diminish or they will become common place I don't know. Given that the B8 A4 has them too, and I assume other models to follow will also, it won't be long until they are everywhere.

Doesn't make them cool I suppose, but they have been a novelty.
