What a difference a day makes!!!

6.00 pm Unload car at workshop.

7.30 pm Body is off (pre preped having done partial lift at home).



1.00 am All welding complete and chassis rust treated. Time for sleep.







7.00 am First coat of primer.



10.00 am Second coat of primer.

2.00 pm First topcoat.



Body back on tomorrow and car will come back to home garage for another partial lift to finish painting and for re-assembly.

If only I wasn't going on holiday it may have been ready for SCH, who knows?

Fantastic! Someone should actually do this at SCH: a chassis refurb over the weekend. Or better, a chassis refurb competition. It would make a great show for us armchair restorers.

There's a quite tidy looking silver S1 on ebay, no bids and 2500 start last time I looked, no reserve. You know you want to!

Hi Chris - it does look good but not broken, you know what ebays like (all bidding in the last 10 mins) and I dont want one that was as broken as mine - outriggers are up my street - so I will start to keep my eyes peeled.

Glad to see your getting back to speed and the walnut approach wasnt recently needed.
