Wiper Arms And Alarm/Immobiliser.

I've used search and tried posing my questions in other threads but no joy so here goes.

Mk1 wiper arms. Can anyone tell me what they are from please?

Immobiliser. My previous TVRs have all had the original alarm/immobiliser replaced but I'm used to the 'blipper' unlocking the doors and disabling the immobiliser. Blip, open door, key into ignition, start.

With this car I have to put the little black fob (touch key) into the socket every time. Blip, open door, touch key into socket, key into ignition, start. Is this normal? I thought use of the touch key was only required if the battery had been disconnected or the battery in the key died. The slot's a bugger to get to and is driving me mad!

I've read the info on this, excellent page http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/alarms/remote_con... and am wondering if perhaps I have a replacement key that has not yet been programmed, reading betwen the lines suggest this to be the case. The page tells how to programme a new key but I'm reluctant to do it in case I completely balls it up and can't start the car.

When you use the blipper to unlock the car you only have 15 seconds or so to get in and start the engine otherwise the immobiliser times out and the red LED by the immobiliser key socket starts flashing again. All you have to do is press the blipper again and red LED will go out and you can start the engine.

No matter how quickly I get the key into the ignition I still have to use the touch key.

Dont know which donor car they came from, but 'Leven' do a good set of replacements if thats what your intention is to do.
