After my mate being in the fold for a few weeks now he's finally experience a TVR moment.
Pulls into a garage, all eyes turn to see whats making that fantastic noise. 6ft 2 bloke gets out, which is a feet on its own, fills up, pays, then gets back in. Pulls the door too and it bounces back open again. Trys again a few more times, same thing. People watching and shaking their heads. So does the proper poser thing and puts his arm out the window to hold the door shut and sets off home looking like a plumsilly Anyway, on the way back he runs over a TVR mechanic, ie a pothole!!! The bump sorts the door out and everythings rosey again. Its amazing how many niggles a good bump can sort out!!biglaugh

In my experience (limited I admit) the doors not staying shut is often caused by the cable release mechanism being out of adjustment. Quite often all that is needed is to centralise the interior opening knob. If adjusted properly it will do this itself.

I Concur... had this happen to me on a few occasions... more often than not when my 10 year old opens the door, I put it down to his heavy handed use of the inner door release, he can get it to happen 5 times out of 10... which is odd, when I can't get it to happen at all. Easily rectified by moving the release the other way and back again... Probably a sticky cable or something, but I found it easier to simply ban him from travelling in the TVR.

'Zactly - with mine, once in a while the knob (oooh err) won't centralise itself and the door bounces back when you try to shut it. As long as it's one in a hundred times rather than one in ten, I don't mind...
