Hi guys,

Can anybody shed any light on this prob ? Fan doesn't come on when hot :-(

The relay following relay clicks with ignition turned on :-

Brown / Blue live
Brown / Blue not live
Green / Brown live
Green / Slate live

Seems to be the correct relay, going by the colours, but not the relay diagram.

No power to fuse with ignition on marked as cooling fan - 4th column 6th row.

No power to the wires to otter switch with ignition on.

Fan works when connected to battery.

So, fan is ok. Power to relay doesn't come from fuse ?

Any ideas or other tests I can do ?

Thanks for any advise.

cheers, Richard.

there's no power to the otter switch - does that matter ?

to try what you suggest .... connect the wires back up and put a screwdriver across the terminals ?

Hmm. Did reply with the same earlier? Anyhow, my override works by shorting the otter with a make/break switch. I have proven it by shorting it with a pair of long nosed pliers or similar suitable. That will prove the fan circuit highlighting an issue with the switch. Or not.

We've connected the wires together that went into the otter switch & fan still doesn't work :-(

Is connecting them the same as bridging the switch ?

Yes.so we still dont know if the switch works or not, but i think you should still get a feed to one side of the switch so trace the wire and check it further back, leave the bridge in place as that will make the fan cut in even though it is cold.Tempus
