Good morning folks!

Wonder if anyone could help. I need to get my T350 Serviced and live in Balham south London. Where would be a good place to go?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Many thanks....

Hi Richard,

I also live in Balham - I think I may have seen you a couple of times. Mine is the loud starmist blue Chim 500 often parked up in Sainsbury's. I tend to take mine to Fernhurst (google Fernhusrt TVR). They seem to have a good reputation on here and I don't have any complaints. It's a good drive down there and they'll either let you take a courtesy car or drop you off at the station which will take you to Clapham junction. Give Bryan (who runs the workshop) a call and see what he charges.

Cheers,
James

Thanks guys... Appreciated.

The only problem I have is that I need the car picking up so the nearer the better. Can anyone with a bad experience of local TVR servicing please PM me.

I normally use the TVR centre who are really good to be honest and i've not ruled out calling Martin, however because I need it picking up I wanted to keep collection costs down if possible.

James... Not sure i've seen yours. Do you think ferhurst would pickup from the city of London (which is where the car is currently parked).

Thanks again...

Rich...

Hi,

Not sure if this is of any help, but I've always taken mine to David Batty. He's out near Guildford in Surrey, but I live in Chiswick now and in Islington before. Always used him (took my T350 to Henley when I first got it, but have now gone back to using David) and alway recommend him whenever I can.

Straight talking kinda chap, excellent service, and understands that we haven't all got piles of cash sitting around to constantly throw at these cars. He'll let you know when's something essential and when it's not.

Only issue you might have is he doesn't do pick ups, but if you can get it there and you don't mind getting the train back, I think you won't find better for the price.

All IMHO, of course. And no, I have no connection with him, other than him looking after both my Chim (when I had it) and T350.

I live in Streatham & used to get mine looked after by Austec down in Crawley - good links into town so journey time were never a problem. A couple of mates have used TVRFix in Ewell in the past & had positive things to say about them

Hey - I'm also in Balham. 450 Chim that lives on a road not far from The Bedford. I had mine serviced at Henley Heritage, which was good, though not cheap. Out of interest, are fellow Balham owners in any of the regional TVR owner's clubs? I know there is one in the City, but judging by the events listed it doesn't seem very active.

Not sure about the local clubs. Unfortunately I am leaving the TVR fold very shortly (hopefully not for too long) and will sooner or later be leaving Balham also.

There do seem to be quite a few TVR owners around. There is a really nice Griff in the next road from me actually. Sorry, not seen the posters in this thread's cars however.

It will be a shame to see her go, really love the T350 but she's got to be sold...

I'm in elephant and castle, I've used Henley TVR and London TVR in north London. I'd recommend London TVR wholeheartedly, they've also been known to negotiate on the hourly rate... Feel free to PM me ref my Henley experiences. John
