manifold

My Chim has just had its full service and it appears the manifold is leaking slightly on one side, the car is still ok to go to LM but obviously Im concerned at there being a problem. Anyone here got advice on this?The guys at my garage are awesome so I trust their advice just dont want to push the car until I can get him asap after getting back!

Presume exhaust manifold?

If it's a slight leak you may hear a clicking sound, and smell fumes?

I did several thousand miles in mine with the clicky thing. No apparent damage. I guess you have to trust in their advice?

Gill - Had no problems with mine just a very annoying ticking noise. No problems pushing hard at all - just think of it as a good excuse to upgrade to the De-cat ACT stainless ones like mine, more shiny bits under the bonnet!

...if it's a gasket, it's not a huge job for those who know how...can't they squeeze you in? (do that chick in distress thing!)

don`t kid your self its a b....ard jod , the bolts are very hard to get to and sometimes they snap and that means heads off .ive had mine off twice and found the best way is to have the surface skimed as they may not be flat .i was quoted £400. get the better gaskets ,i got mine from tvr shop
