I was all excited today, as the Wedge was, at last, going on the Rolling road to map the ignition and recheck the fuel. Net result -40bhp and a shed load of torque from last yeareek
We gave up fiddling around as 40 bhp wasn't coming back with tweeking. Gonna check the compressions ASAP and perhaps do a leak off test.

It's been a bit tappety lately, so maybe the cams gone all Pete Tong on me.

Woe is me!!!!!!!!!!

This could be the excuse needed to shoehorn in a Ford 302.evil

If it's good enough for our American friends then it's good enough for me.

Deetes,
I too am considering the 302 option as I have a good 289 and gearbox in the wings.
Going to get the summer out of the old girl and do the research and then decide and start!
I have looked into it a bit and with aluminium heads and a few other bits the weight can be reduced a lot.
Its a shame we are fleeced so much on Rover V8 performance parts and need to look elsewhere.
347 stroker kit..........? I think this would even the score with the Griff, Chim, Tuscan brigade!

What a superb job he's made of it too.
I'd love to see (and HEAR) it in the flesh. cloud9

Now I really regret not having done the same to my old 280, seeing as I'd got all the suspenders and braking spot-on...just needed that big Yank Ford to cure its asthma, and totally in keeping with TVR tradition. smile

Chris I quite agree with you re the price on performance parts for the RV8, however the hidden costs of a change, like I suggested, are quite considerable. I would have to do some research on the subject as well. Let us know how you get on.

Deetes,
I agree its the bolt ons / one off bits that all add up: manifolds, exhaust rad etc.
Still think in the long run for bhp / £ it is a good concept.
Will keep you posted on progress.
