Toyo Tyres - Ripped OFF??

Hi all
Got a couple of Toyo T1R's for the front, but got charged £112 each.

Did I get ripped off because "It's a TVR so must be loaded"?

I used to like the place, as they did my range rover a few years back.

Oh by the way, it's still on standard wheels and 235/40/17 front.
So any advice on the best pressure fo these? And the rears?

Currently using 22 front 25 rear.

That price is possibly a bit high.

You can get them for £82.30 each from www.camskill.com but you would have to add probably £10 to each tyre for fitting localy. So considering you didn't shop around it isn't too bad.

Forgot to say that they added VAT to that!
So £263 total!

But they did balance the rears for free!

But I will def' shop around next time!
Or perhaps start a tyre shop myself!

That sounds about right.

I paid about £600 fitted for my last set. Front's were about £50 cheaper than rears.

Thanks chaps! Not feeling too bad now.

But any idea what pressures to use?

I upped the front to 24 and the backs to 27 today and it does feel better!

Also got my TVRCC membership through today so hope to meet up with a few more experienced owners for a good look over after LE Mans of perhaps even there!

235/40/17 T1R Toyo rrp is £85.25 plus VAT. Toyo also charge £3.00 per tyre plus VAT carriage, but free if 4 or more ordered. I get mine from http://www.07960-870027.com/tyres.html

I need some rears. 255/40/17. I've got goodyear F1 eagles on at the moment, so I'm looking for another pair. I'll let you know how much I pay.
