Interior shiny bits

Anyone fitted any interior shiny bits other than the Leven offerings? Need to replace the black handbrake cover and the old gearknob could do with a refresh too. Just wondered what bits and pieces others have used....

I bought a BMW leather / walnut gearknob and handbrake cover (walnut effect) off ebay (seperately).
They match each other but don't exactly match the dash for the shade of wood which is a pity as they are really nice quality, the gearknob feels particularly nice, and has the same gear layout legend as the V8 gearbox (reverse top left). I'll continue to use them when its all back together - its my car and I like them!

I fitted a tuscan alloy handbrake , needed a little filing inside but looks great and only cost £17.63 plus £2.50 delivery from Bell Hill Garage's ebay shop item no 130211960261

I have the 'Wildfire' dash, shiny gear knob from Halfords, LeeBee instrument surrounds and Leven handbrake lever.

...it has been suggested a glitter ball would finish the car off nicely

Lee certain did do a wonderful job, that was two years ago now! Free of those TR switches and in true TVR form something totally unique. I believe mine is the only one with the chrome heater panel and set of four chrome switches which incidentally light up green together with the rest of the dials when the light switch is turned on. A great job Lee. I hope to see Lee later this month, what I do know is, Lee is extremely busy with 9-5 work and his two projects, a Land Rover and his Cosworth TVR. Just letting you know, just in case you want something urgent.

Personally, I don't like big slabs of chrome, but little bits of it can really do magic! I stripped the paint from the bezels on the small gauges and polished them, and ordered new chrome bezels for the tacho and speedo. I also changed the black rotary switches for chrome toggle switches. This combined with an aluminum gear knob and chrome door lock pins from a jaguar (still to be fitted) finish it off.

I've been debating doing this for a while with the gauges.

I'd love to see some pics if possible?

The small ones were made of aluminium and polish up to a high gloss. The tacho and speedo are made of steel, so I'll have to replace them with chrome or aluminium ones.

I got the paint off using paint stripper, then used a dremel and finally a big polishing mop with paste to get the gloss. Be prepared to spend a few hours though!

I have ordered some bezels for the tacho and speedo, but haven't heard from the company yet.

I have quite a few shiny bits (all available I belive for the S) I personally think they look great and updates the dated S interior.



Hopefully see you all at SCH, thats if I havent sold the car by then that is.... as I have decided to move on, very sad...........

Thanks I like it I believe they are still available, they are from Leebee, hes very busy and difficult to get hold of, I know I waited 6 months for mine but you never know he might have some in stock now. Marz92 is your man he knows Lee very well. Or you could buy a car that already has all the bits it will be up for sale soon....
