Hi all,
Have been around for a little bit, just got a fun toy for the weekend, appreciate that the little MX5 isn't to all tastes, but just thought I'd share some pics, let me know your thoughts, (negative creep, its one for you fella!)

Thanks all,

Finkers

I'm finding myself making excuses why I should, lol. Was only supposed to be a plaything, but......

Bizarrely, much more inclined to drive it on wet days, something to do with off camber roundabouts, biggrin

I like it. Good to see it already sporting the obligatory power boosting PH sticker!

The twin tailpipes look good, are they racing beat?

hi chap, not sure if they are racing beat, I don't think they are tbh, I was quite pleased with them when I went to see it though, they are slightly more purposeful sounding than the anaemic single pipe set up, but subtle enough that they are not unneccesarily loud or noticeable. Also had the rear fog light removed
(a drop down square one) and had it relocated to the centre brake light instead, a much cleaner rear end.

PS: Not too sure about the PH sticker boosting power, it does seem to add to the curve on the ambition vs skill graph though!

shout It needs lowering!

Apart from that looks like a fab wee motor. The dual exhaust really looks great and I bet it makes the bits between wet roundabouts more aurally interesting too smile

like the exhausts, looks ok in red. but really those multi fitment 100+ alloys wheels are halfords specials and need to go. yes and some springs could look nice.

Couldn't the relocated fog light cause some braking-related confusion? How about a trick that the CRX Delsol owners use, stick it in the drivers side reversing light with a red bulb, same clean back end but no confusion? Just my two pence.

The rear brake light on a Mk1 MX-5 isn't a light at all (or at least it wasn't in mine).

Anything has to be better than the duplo block stuck on the arse end!

I believe the phrase is 'Epic Thread Revival'.

Wonderful that it's still on the road, or garaged. Great work.

Fab, but what I am asking myself is how you stumbled upon the car in the tread. Does Google now index numberplate in pictures or what?

Blimey!!!

I loved that little car, got loads of pics of her. I did try to buy her back once as a resto but had no joy frown

In a stroke of semi related PH weirdness, I've just sold my first bike to a guy over on the biker banter thread!

If you could post some pics up OP, I might get a bit misty eyed!

All the best,
