Got a problem and looking for advice.
Car started shunting more than normal keeping it above more than 2000 revs seems quiet smooth also does'nt seem as responsive as normal.
Don't get me wrong car does pull but the sparkle seems gone.
Thinking about this this seems to have come about after using v power the last 4 fill ups did'nt use it before just now and then.
Could the timing have altered ie been set for std fuel nothing else has changed apart from a new air filter.
But then again it could be me all other ignition parts were replaced last year and plugs have done 3k
Can't get this fuel/timing issue out of my head.
Someone ease my headache please.

After posting this post decided to go into garage and pop the bonnett as you do.
Pulled on all 8 leads and bugger me no4 lead came clean off!!
Started the car with the lead off it did run but sounded lumpy and a smell of petrol refitted lead and started car funny enough not lumpy.
I don't think this lead was completly off but it was'nt a good fit and i now have to really pull it to pop off.
How can they become loose?? and i did have a whiff of petrol over the last 2 weeks and not had that before.
I suppose because it's a 8 cyinder and not a 4 you can get away with it more if there was only 3 on a normal car it would really be noticable.
A road test should prove it one way or another.

They can work loose - seemingly at will. Mine was running lumpy and hesitating on acceleration. A quick run of the fingers down each bank of leads will identify a loose plug lead. Apparently its a common thing if they've been disturbed (say for a service) and can happen a couple of weeks or more later.

Same here, happens quite often but first thing to check now, usually one pops off the dissy or just works loose.
