I've been following the main thread on this topic for maybe 2-3 months, and for a long time its looked like I'm the last PHer to be leaving the UK for Le Mans, so it's my responsibility to "turn the lights off". I hope to see some PHers on route in France but as the "rear gunner" this may not work out. Conming back will be very different. I'm coming back Monday, on the 16:50 Shuttle, and as usual expect some serious PH motors to be on the road and at the Eurotunnel terminal.

I'm going solo to Le Mans this year and I'll probably tour some of the campsites and may drop by for a chat and maybe scrounge a throat reviver.

The race looks to be a bit special this year. Let's hope the weather is as good as pre 2007!

See you on the Eurotunnel crossing back ... we're on the same one .... if we're not late due to the booze stocking stop on the way back. It's a Motorhome so not very exciting to see for other PH'ers .... but our beer is ALWAYS cold

When are you travelling out? We did Friday on our first trip in '98 but soon realised we missed lots of the fun so it's been a Wednesday morning journey ever since.

Mark C,

A word of advice about arriving late at the Eurotunnel on Monday after my son's and my experience last year. His car broke down near the tunnel so we arrived a 10 minutes after check in time for our crossing. Due to Le Maners and others, Eurotunnel was fully booked for the next 6 hours and so there was nothing to do but wait. In fact, as we knew we had to get the car repaired in France the next day we did not travel on the Monday and we gave our timed booking to a large family of Brits who had arrived back late from their holiday. So, buying booze is OK but be late for check in at your peril!

By the way, I'm travelling down on Friday on the 08:20.

Hi Skywalker,

I'll be parked up in Parking Blanc too (location R7 P38, S-Type Jaguar, BRG), and I have a seat in Maison Blanche. I'll occasionally be using the MRI facilities available too. Although I have a hotel booked for Friday and Sunday nights at Falaise, I'll be at Le Mans from around 09:00 Friday to 17:00 Sunday (I always leave the circuit a couple of hours after the race to avoid the traffic), and I'll have a short kip in the car in Parking Blanc very early Sunday morning. Happy to join you for a Pimms Saturday evening..where are you located and what time?

Hi Toe Tags,

It's great to find out at last that I'm not the final PHer to be leaving the UK! Looks like the PH "Crossings" threads needs updating. Have a good journey and enjoy the racing (impossible not to of course!)

Unfortunatly my company's firewall won't allow me to update the crossing list, so I'll just have to drop below the radar and make my way over quietly rolleyes

Have a good trip all biggrin
