Getting more from my E46 325

I was worried someone might say that..... trouble is, I can't afford to sell up since it currently has the following problems. no air con, no remote central locking, no parking sensors, It's over due a service (although it has been serviced, but I did it myself) etc. So in terms of a car for me there is nothing wrong with it, however these niggly things will mean I wouldn't get close to what is it worth to me in resale. I am on a pretty rubbish salary at the moment, so can't really afford to take the financial hit!
Just hoping there is a way to invest a little bit give it a new lease of life until I am in a position to make the proper upgrade i.e. better car, I'm well overdue a payrise so hopefully it won't be too long.

Well you say that, but it's all under control. I'm not fussed about parking sensors - don't really need them, I rarely ever need to parallel park.
Service - Car has been serviced, by myself. Damn sight cheeper that way! therefore not a problem from a car care point of view
Remote Central locking - going to get it looked into eventually, but putting the key in the lock doesn't bother me.
Air-con - I am going to get in recharged the first weekend I get chance. £50 has already been put aside.
Therefore nothing that really needs doing on a personal level, however things that would put somone off buying it.I would not get cash value equal to what the car is worth to me!
Money spent on a little more poke would benifit me however!
Thing is though especially if you care about trading it in why ruin its value?
Who is going to buy an E46 325i from somebody who has bodged the servicing himself, broke the parking sensors but didnt fix them, etc etc? I'd not even bother negotiating if I turned up and found the car like that and I cannot be alone - you'll get far more for it if it looks cared for, well looked after and is in full working order.
The parking sensors are about 15 quid each!
Has it got Wan Li tyres on it as well?

It seems a shame that what is a nice car isn't kept together, unless you keep that til it dies and in light of the glut of cars second hand at the moment then you are probably better off financially to keep the car in a good state of repair. Nobody but in their right mind will buy a car like that unless is stupidly cheap or is full stamped up by a half decent garage be that a main stealer or a good indie.
If you want a shed that goes fast you bought the wrong car, a 620Ti will cost you nothing with still all the bells and whistles on it, let a alone some ageing Jap car.
It's always a great shame when you see a nice car whatever it is with bits hanging off it, down to personal choice of course what people do noted, but still not quite as intended.

People on here do amuse me, I love my cars and I love my BMW's. asthetically the car is perfect, I wash and polish it more than frequently. It has a couple of minor niggles which I know would affect resale but don't bother me enough to justify getting fixed. There are no bits hanging off and I pay out for Michelin pilot sports. It has no problems that anyone could notice without close inspection or asking.
I probably couldn't justify selling my car even if it was worth it at the moment. When I do go to sell, the problems it has can be fixed beforehand. Plus by then, it will be worthless anyway. (I do serious miles)

Saved a fortune and you would have to work had to do anything wrong. I didn't break the parking sensors - they just stopped working.
My car is perfect for everything, long journeys Motorway or A, twisty B roads and it's nice round town. I couldn't afford the 330 so I bought the 325! Simple as that.
