Just wondering if most people still take the old N138 route to Le Mans, or if the trend now is just to zip down the new A28 (E402)....

We've been going out on Tuesday the last few years, so always missed the main convoys, but going out on Thurs this year, so looking forward to seeing lots more exotica on the way! smile

Were taking the 138 down and the motorway back.

Last year the 138 was definitely quieter than previous years!!

Going out sunday. We always go the old back roads way because my dad who is always driving refuses to pay for the toll road. Still get a fair few nice cars going down that way though.

n138 is def the road of choice for the way down. there is a convoy of 5 motors that im in (lotus exige, M3 coupe, Scoob STI, 1 series M-Sport and my nutty mate on his R6!)

We are heading down on thurs morning (8am tunnel crossing). It was quite last year but we did see a zonda and a couple of other nice cars!

Yes, tradition for us too. N138 after Rouen. Scenery and roads much more interesting and lots of potential bars/cafes en route when requiredwink.

It was quieter last year, but still fun.

We are going over Wednesday night, but will be on that route Thursday am, so will give you a wave if we see you. (3 Cerberas/V8S/911) smile

We're taking the 138 down as it's Monday and we're in no hurry. A28 back though but turning off before the Rouen peage! Not sitting in that again! 2 hours last year!

The gang Im with (about 10 cars) will all be taking the N138 down from Rouen continuing through alencon etc. I usually sit on the peage for a bit from calais and usually see loads of people in the services on the way. I Took the 138 in 2006 and last year and shall definitely be continuing the trait! Always nice to see some scenery and liven the journey up a bit.

Im not a a big pistonheads poster, and none of us has piston heads livery. But will be heavily stickered up courtesy of hollographics. So I shall keep my eyes peeled for you fellow road trippers on the N138. Cant believe its only 6 days now as we are heading down on Weds.

We're on the same Ferry so could tag on the back of your convoy, Red 968, Black TT and Silver Vectra. If not we'll be heading down the 138 anyway!
