Passenger door window drops when opened from either the inside or outside, but the door won't spring open. The door just remains there silent, unmoved, oblivious to my pleading.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any Help much appreciated.

My passenger door is also close to this state, but does open a little.

Not got around to looking at yet, so can't advise on a cure yet, sorry.

Go create some weather...

Very technical answer.
Your door rubber on the passenger side may not be as 'springy'. AFAIK if the lock actually opens then that is the only thing that pushes the door out.

Mine opens but sometimes needs a helping hand whereas the drivers side is great.

No, door rubber is fine. Used to open well, then suddenly nothing, not even a click or clunk from the solenoid. Is the solenoid easy to get at to check?

quite easy, its behind the lock mechanism in the door frame. just pull back the interior trim to get to it,i suppose you could check for loose wires etc.

I've made this into an FAQ so you can find it again quickly in the future, most common queries can be found as FAQ's more to be added when they are asked. I'll rename it to door solenoid, but I'm not sure if it will also change the thread name. Here goes

Edited to say it did change the title, sorry, but it'll be easier to spot in the FAQ list for future reading

Checked the voltage to the solenoid, up to 10.9v when door open button is pressed. Solenoid must be u/s. Are these readily available or will I have to go to a TVR dealer? Are they a straight forward fit? Anyone done one? So many questions.
Any help appreciated,
Andrew and Sarah
