Was going to go but have decided to go to another motorsport related event this weekend.

Gave my tickets to a friend who wanted to go though.

I'm going on the Sunday, mostly out of curiosity & because I got free tickets.

Seems the CMSA have been handing out free tickets by the barrel-load. Will be interesting to see how big the crowd is?

All the tickets are free, renault have been doing this for the past few years. Only available in advance though.

I think last year at Donington over 70,000 went each day!

It's pretty popular, but there were a significant number of chav types there who had got their mitts on the free tickets.

Went last year to Donington just for the Saturday afternoon and was staggered by the number of people there camping etc for the whole weekend.
The crowd must have rivalled the Moto GP for attendance numbers.

Not moaning for free tickets / good racing and respect due to Renault for being so Motorsport orientated.
However as others have said the chav quota was fairly high.

Cheers.

"the chav quota was fairly high"

That's an understatement, I went two years ago and it was a nightmare.

Fighting amongst themselves, fighting with other groups, pissing anywhere, drunk and drugged up to there eyeballs!

Not an expereince I will ever want to experience again.

I went last year and don't recall it being chav'd up. Perhaps just a bad year prior?

I'm going tomorrow.

We missed it last year - had tickets but couldn't go at the last minute. But we'll be there tomorrow. Might go Sunday as well, if it's any good.wink

Got back just under an hour ago, good fun day out although I'm not sure I like racing where everyone has the same car since little overtaking occurs.

The 3.5 litre single seaters were painfully loud!

Still had a really fun drive back with the roof down biggrin

Just got back.

Had a good day - yes there were chavs galore, but the day was enjoyable overall.

I took loads of pics (panning practice!) - I'll post a few later!

Was a good day.

Not sure what was going off on the M1 though, traffic was ridiculous.

We set off @7:30 from Doncaster and didn't get parked up and into the place until 13:00.

The traffic off junction 15a was horrendous and down most of the A43, strangely when we got near Silverstone it cleared up?
