i have the above unit.
i am currently planning ten days of adventure throughout Europe, using Microsoft Autoroute and ITNconv.
I have just been informed by the people at TomTom Customer Support that my above unit does not support itinery planning ... the chap was only 90% certain, though.

is this coirrect ?
if so, is there a way round this ?

Plan a route, and set waypoints? (or via's as it would be on my tom tom...) you'd have to do that manually though, i suppose.

sorry varsas, i don't fully understand what you're saying.

i have a tom tom one v3.
i want to plan a route.
can i download the route(s) onto my above unit ?

the people at tom tom tell me i can't on that unit.
i don't believe them (the chap didn't sound too confident/sure).

I don't have your unit eactly, I have a 910. If I wanted to do what you are doing, I would set a route and manually put waypoints in, this is easier using the tomtom home software (you need firmware 6.x for this though, I assume yours is new enough). If it is possible to use routes created in autoroute (or whatever) I expect that's how you would do it. I have never actually done this though, and do not know if it's possible or not.
