Since refitting my wiper motor, the drivers side wiper arm, seems to be slipping, its locked on the retaining nut, and seems to be slipping under the plastic cover on the cable.

is this bust or fitted wrong would anyone know please?

if it is bust, what car are the wiper arm stubs from?

Martin, I have never known the pinion nuts to loosen, pinion teeth wear as do the rack. Visualise ...that the teeth wear on the contact point of the rack, IF the rack or teeth are worn then they will slip. 1st job is to turn the rack (which connects to the con-rod under the gearbox covers six screws) ONCE done this will engage new material onto the old pinion teeth (you will need to remove the arms and re-park the whole system as the drive will move the pinions too) IF YOU ARE REALLY CUTE then mark the current position of the spines on the affected pinion AND the rack THEN spin the rack several times BEFORE reconnecting it (at its new once turned position) as this would reset the pinion so that, it TOO is 90 degrees from where it is now and it too is engaging new teeth.

I do have racks and pinions in stock, and have replaced pinions, but you would never WANT to remove the heater distribution box to access them unless you had to.
EDITED to say I'm brilliant I am! or not as the case may be.
