After an exhaustive interrogation by Mrs Muppet which lead to the question "Why can't you leave the f*#king car standard?", I was wondering if anyone here is in possession of a completely standard, as it left the factory, unmodified Monaro. CV8 or VXR, does any one have one?

where's the fun in that? It would be like buying a new build and leaving all the rooms magnolia?

Yep, despite her driving my 1970 Challenger and El Camino in her now long forgotten youth she now prefers Magnolia. But that's Magnolia with no silencers lol

That's scuppered my "there are NO stock ones anywhere" line of reasoning then

Excuse me. I'm a middle aged woman(34) and i drive my kids to and from school in my 5.7 V8 unmodified Monaro and beleive me there's a hell of a lot of fun in that. Theres not much on the road around here that can take me on. And there nothing that turns as many heads. So yes all standard and very proudlick

My Mrs drives my currently almost stock vxr, but can't seem to fathom that I enjoy "ruining" it with loud exhausts. I think she's just p#ssed off because I had her collectng ebay "bargains" from various couriers depots yesterday while I'm out of the country hehe

Not knocking standard cars, after all anything with 300++ bhp as standard is pretty special!

This "looks" standard, I always look for pipes for the first signs of the MODDING bug! and this one has lasted 4 years without any obvious mods

Mine is unmodified in anyway. As I plan to change it for something else ASAP it will stay that way as long as I have it.

IMO the only Monaro that should be left stock is an 04 VXR.

Totally standard to published specifications and as Holden intended. Had to undo Vauxhall's mod to pass type approval though, doh!

What's funny is that the unmodded survivors will be worth the top money when these cars become collectors pieces - especially the 'limited edition' vauxhall badged UK models, LOL!!!!
