Someone has told me TVR factory has shut down for a fortnight and won't be open until Sep 1. Is this right as I was hoping to get up to the factory this week. I know TVR probably doesn't have the same rush of people wanting cars for the two plate changes a year like say Ford or any of the other main manufacturers, but it still seems a strange time and thing to do.

yes the factory is very quiet. There is just a skeleton staff working.Heath is to do the pdi on my new tuscan this week which is the only new car factory pick up leaving on september 1st . Hopefully he will check it thoroughly as last time 5 years ago the chimaera on its 1000 mile service had to be with them for 10 days to get it right, but they did do a good job.

The factory does not close completely for these 2 weeks, yes the bulk of the workforce are on holiday.I was in there last thursday to see danielle and Heath but i also saw a dozen more people working. You can still order new cars and visit the factory to spek one.
