This will be my first year of driving to le mans after a few years on coach trips.
When approaching le mans i presume its all signposted for the circuit and camp sites are signposted when you get to the circuit??

Just follow the 1,000s of other cars.

To be honest it depends where you are camping. When approaching Le Mans it can be slow (hinges on time of day and day of arrival) but as long as you know where you are headed (camp site) and have planned way points you should be fine

Arnt they colour coded guys? Last year at Karting Nord it was green. Is there a link to the various camp site colours?

Essential that you know your colour code to follow. Dont know why they cant just put the campsite name on the bloody sign?? But hey, thats the French for you!
Should corespond with the ticket colour tho, My Houx tickets are green and it says VERT--acces/porte. Which is green. smile

Yep ... follow the signs for "Vert" ... you'll seemingly go off on a funny route avoiding Le Mans and signposted Paris at one point (scary first time) but you'll loop in under the Tetre Rouge end of the Mulsanne near the Stella bar and Houx Annexe (entrance on the left) and Houx (bit further on the right) are just along the little road.

If you arrive during a qualy session on Wednesday or Thursday then your first sight of the cars may well be just before you go under the Mulsanne. This is also a good time to tune the car to Radio Lemans although you can pick it up a little further out.

The circuit is south of LeMans and all the signs send you anti-clockwise around the city and through the chaos of Arnarge centre! I recommend you ignore the signs and go clockwise around the city, head for Mulsanne and approach the circuit from the south. If you plan to arrive Friday you can use the circuit itself down the Mulsanne straight and through Indianapolis into the camp sites. Worked for us last year.

Possibly still time to buy the t-shirt if you're forgetful (www.n138.net - no affiliation but as I stole the image from them a plug seemed fair biggrin)

er ... Yellow ..

There are plenty of maps showing where it is though.

Follow blue/white and keep going past the main circuit area - turn left at the Porsche Curves and join the traffic jam.
Green can also get you there - just avoid Red as it's completely the wrong end of the circuit
