Guys, a bit of help please.
Where do we go for new front hubs and come to that discs and calipers as well. Searched for half an hour with no joy so any help much appreciated.

A lot of TVR parts are sourced from 'boring' cars. However most suppliers charge a premium because they're going on a TVR.

Check out the Alternative Parts list at the top of the forum for help with original applications.

Good luck

NP,

Personally spent quite a while sourcing the original applications for bits, because paying through the nose goes against the grain. biggrin

I'm with you on that one Tim and saw your post with pics of new hubs but couldn't find supplier. I new the stud nuts were Cherokee but didn't realise the whole hub was. Had a rather unsettling experience today when the front nearside wheel/disk/hub made a break for freedom. Thankfully on a straight bit of road at about 50mph, could have been a bit tricky if it had happened a few weeks ago at the ring.yikes

Check the hubs regularly, especially if you use the car 'in anger' on a regular basis.

Probably due to a recent rebuild, I had the bolt that holds the front hub together work loose, even though it was loctited and torqued correctly. Bold sheered when I tried to tighten it!!!!

Damage was minimal but scary as it happened on a track day at Brands, and could have been catastrophic.

Disk grooved from making contact with lower suspension arm, hub itself damaged due to the disk running out of true, etc. etc.

A recent newsletter from Jools at TCS was about just this thing, although he flags up stretched bolts as an issue.

Order your hub from the US, mine were coming in at under £50 inc shipping.

Good luck

Indeed .. I won't sell hubs now without a brand new high strength bolt and new locknut which my local bolt firm had to order in especially for me from france apparently! Seen three nearside front hub issues on race/track cerbies and T350 now and I'm convinced there's an underlying issue centred around bearing flex or the bearing clamp load.

Which bolt(s) is this Jules? I'm fitting new Wishbones and uprights to mine shortly, so I guess I'll be needing one.

its the bolt that goes through the centre of the wheel bearing itself
