Bulb types

Appologies, because this has almost certainly been covered before, but I can't for the life of me find any information about headlight bulb types, or any other light for that matter.

If anyone could state the sizes needed that would be great. Maybe this could also be included in the FAQ section? Unless it's already somewhere I've not managed to locate yet!

Front side lights on 05 model, Philips W5W BLUE VISION,
Front dip beam H11 Osram Night Breakers,both offer improvement over standard.
I left the main beam alone as it seemed OK to me.
Check the top of the light unit, that should give bulb type for your car.

Could anyone tell me which bulb it was that would fit by trimming one of the tabs, or some similar modification?

You can carv an H9 to fit H11 holder.

Oh my god. I'm never doing that again. What a nightmare just to change some bulbs. Airbox moving on the left hand side of the car was a pain.

Still, Osram up-rated bulbs for dipped beam, LED side lights, and LED rear side/brake lights now fitted. Front sides are a little blue though... hoping Mr.Police man doesn't mind. May look different in the dark though.
