A windscreen from an M100 Lotus Elan (i.e., the "new" Elan fwd car built/sold in the early 90s) to a Noble ('04 3R)?
I have measured the two windscreens side-by-side and they seem to be identical, but before I order one it would be good to know if anyone has ever actually used one on a Noble.

I didn't think there was a supply problem with Noble windscreens in the UK. I assumed that if one got broken we just phoned up Autoglass or similar and they came out and fitted one.

I didn't think the Elan screen had the black tinting around it that the Noble one has?

A while ago I was on a Lotus On Track track day and got chatting to an Elan owner. He told me that the windscreen is the same for the Elan and the Noble M12.

Apparently up and until the Noble was launched replacement screens were difficult to get hold of for the Elan, but now they order the Noble part as a direct replacement.

As an aside there were some with demist elements in. (may be handy for you boys who have dumped their heaters etc, to save weight).

Thanks for the input--the match up sounds promising.
My problem is that getting a Noble windscreen to my location will cost about as much as the windscreen itself and will take 3-4 weeks. OTOH I have a source of the Lotus windscreen that is relatively local--although shipping is still required, it will just take a few days at a fraction of the cost of shipping an "official" Noble part.

Noble windscreens are available through their parts department and there is free stock available.
We produced a small batch of heated screens on the original tooling with Noble's agreement and there is stock available direct from Mobile Windscreens.
Whilst the screen is the same shape as the Elan screen, the black obscuration band around the edge of the glass and the masking for the rear view mirror is entirely different.

Thanks again--I'll have to look more closely at the masking details.
Since I'm in California, the UK availability of the windscreens is not especially helpful--although it does remind me of the great times I had when I lived and worked in Oxfordshire .
