Engine died at the end of my 5th or 6th run. Went over the line at 110+ with no power. Managed to coast to a stop off the strip. Car would turn the starter motor but nothing. Guy in a corsa that I raced before stopped and took a look where we saw the rear supercharge belt had worn/disintergrated. Sophie stopped and said she would advise Jez. Plan A was to push the car back to the car park and phone the AA.
On the way back to meet Jez I saw the RapidGB stand (Roling Road for Sunday?) and thought I would chance my luck whether they could fix it. Response was totally unexpected and very well received by me. Car towed back to their stand where Mark went to work looking at what was wrong - Ringram (Richard) was able to diagnose that the car had lost it's engine (sensor) and later on Mark had got the car to tickover so should be no major damage. Car will be taken to their workship to fix.
Mike (stigmund) kindly offered to take me home as he lives in the same county (!).
Thank you all for your support and help, especially Mark @ RapidGB and Mike for sorting things (lets hope the bill is not too high!). Made the failure bearable.

It's back!
In truth the majority of the cost was replacing the air conn pipes
which had worn from the radiator jubilee clip rubbing against it - huge cost.
Seems quieter now the intercooler is working properly and power delivery seems smoother than I remember but it has been a while (not as long as Harryoz though).
Thanks again to Mark and RapidGB for sorting out on the day.
