Its not the date of registration that matters so much but its the date of manufacture.

If its a Coupe, the facelift was fitted with a longer boot handle from factory as per below

It was build date March 2003 (around week 10) from memory, mine was one of the first Silver Grey cars and was registered April 03.

edit: Just remembered, the aircon panel was changed at the same time. If you have the temp up/down and fan up/down controls underneath the display then you have a pre-facelift car, if they are each side of the display then it is a facelift car.

The one with no buttons is some aftermarket screen install. Enjoy!

some more satnav pics with no buttons, i just had a thought it could be just a standard bezel i suppose, was the satnav the same pre-facelift then or was that diff too,

The satnav has remained a constant until it was changed in the later e9x revisions and the e6x previously. I think all those are aftermarkets using a double din conversion. The only interior difference from the facelift in 2003 was they moved some of the controls for the air conditioning system

I also just realised (had pics turned off) that your car is silver grey! That colour (along with mystic blue) was only available on facelifted cars.

I have seen that bezel before. I think it was an official "OEM" retrofit satnav from someone like ACS, hence the parts were manufactured to fit in with the dash.

hhhmmm learn something new every day, funny you should say that i looked at a couple of blue ones as well as the silver/grey, but for me silver/grey and red leather is the only option to have, well i would thats what i've got lol
