Last minute, impromptu mini Kent Hoon

Was good until my "Check Engine Light" came on( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ). Took car to OPC today, waiting for diagnosis.

God, this hooning lark is expensive!!

Good news - engine problem is due to faulty ignition coils, should be fixed by tomorrow.

Bad news - £390 to replace 6 coils and spark plugs.

Still could have been worse, it could have broken down whilst on that planned Lap of Scotland ( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... )!

Could be worse, i'm pleased you didn't sustain any engine damage.

Was a pity though; I was just getting into my stride after that four vehicle overtake, then you stopped!

Good lord man. You appear jinxed. Each time you have gone on the kent hoon your car has suffered for it or was it not you last time who took a detour over what was in effect a farm track etc??
