I've recently bought an '07 Touareg. It has an ipod connector in the glove compartment and a CD changer in the boot. The CD changer however, will not eject the cart or anything. I'm assuming it's either broken or not plugged in.

My question is, does the CD changer need to be disconnected for the ipod connector to work or should they both work at the same time?

Thanks

What has probably happened is that it had the CD changer factory fitted and then somene has asked vw to add an ipod adaptor. Unfortunatley you can't have both working at the same time, when you fit the ipod adaptor you lose the cd player functionality. If you prefer your CDs you need to get vw to reconnect the changer but you will then lose the ipod.

Thanks for this... I figured as much.
I was about to get VW to repair / replace the changer and it dawned on me this might be the case.
