Thanks combine. Must admit i worked hard on her today.
Spent 2 hours on the inside alone!

Worth it though.

I also took the gold stripe off the body... looks so much better now imo.

Car looks a bit more 'up-dated' without the stripe. You need the bottom one off too smile

oh, HOT TIP, you know that crap stone chip paint before the arches?? Use tyre blacker (Meg's high gloss is the best!) and it gets a nice sheen going smile

I feel your pain L33, i sold my last wedge and bought an (admittedly stunning) 450 Chimp, regretted it almost immediately.
I missed my wedge terribly! Hence i then sold the Chimaera and came back to wedgedom. biggrin

Hi dc, i started off using Autoglym super resin wax but changed over and tried the Meguiars range - finishing with the step 3 deep crystal system/Carnuba wax. Smells nice too. smile

For the tyres i used Turtle wax 'Extreme' gel. Always sets the wheels off i think.

The alloys recieved a good couple of hours polishing with Autosol.
Bloody hard work, shoulders killing me today-but so worth it.

Just wish my camera was a little better.

cheers all.

Tell ya' what, i've never seen the 3-step come out that good. But to be fair it will last no longer than 3/4 weeks frown Step 1&2 i really cannot fault, for the price they're great, but step 3 is crap, it doesn't last long at all (as with most Meg's stuff hehe ) If you've got swirl marks, carry on using your super resin polish, that's got mild fillers in so will fill in some of the light swirls! But if you don't put on a prtective layer over the SRP it doesn't last more then 3 weeks! Meg's NXT 2.0 is ok for this (as it's a straight off the shelf product. Or better Autoglym HD wax, that'll last two months smile and it's bloody good!

Blood hell, i don't half go on do i!

Oh and try some of the tyre gel on your stone chip paint before the rear arch it works well smile

Some top tips there dc, cheers. Tbh, i think the Autoglym polishes off easier.
I'll give the tyre gel on the stone chip panel a go, at some point i'd like to get it re-painted/coated. I think someone mentioned a while back about what stuff to use...Porsche product i think??

cheers.
