This would be interesting. Mine runs like a pig on 95.

I had to use some the other day when the garage was out of 97. Once hot it struggled to rev and stalled at just about every damn junction.

I put 97 back in it and it's all fine again!

wavey when are you travelling down James? We have 3 Cerberas and a V8S in our group - which includes another rare White Cerbera! So look out for us too!

We are travelling over Wednesday pm, but only just into France, we will be en route to Le Mans Thursday am. Planning to stop at Baie de Somme Services for a coffee and pick up some Cerberas so we can perhaps travel together for a bit tongue out.

Has anybody tried an octane booster in their fuel?

I'm wondering if it's worth keeping a bottle of it around in case I can't get the decent stuff when I need it.

Hi, I've travelled extensively in France with my Cerb and have done Lemans twice in it. I have found fuel in France to be a little suspect sometimes however, whatever fuel I use I always put Miller Octane Booster in and have found this works fine and have no trouble what so ever. Equally I always keep a couple of bottles in the car while in the UK just in case I can't get the good stuff.
I'll be in my BRG 1977 Aston Martin AMV8 this year so keep an eye out for me.

Everwhere in France has Super 98 octane, and I've not had any issues with it so far.

Don't think you can beat Vpower - all I've used for the last few years on three cars and no problems at all. Apart from once when I put Tesco 99RON in and it pinked and ran like a biatch. Won't be doing that again...

The handbook states that the engine is designed to be run on 98 ron . I don't put anything else but that in and runs beautifully. smile
