OK, the guy I work for is looking to go to a TOP spa hotel asap. Does anyone know of a spa hotel in Europe that's absoloutely the best of the best? Money no object, best suite, private pool, dedicated staff, etc. You know the sort of thing... the perceived luxury of the Burj Al Arab, but in Europe and totally focused on wellness, health and the finest spa treatments.

Any ideas, let me know asap.

Thanks,
NL

I can certainly recommend NOT going to the Aqua Sana at Centre Parcs.

The Il Pellicano near Puerto Ercole on Italy's west coast would be worth considering

Nope. Just one of the many jobs I get to do to break up the mundane stuff smile As well as being the boss, he's been a mate for many years and often takes me and the missus away with him on some VERY grand trips! Just repaying the favour, so to speak.

Will check out the links... He's thinking long haul too now, so anything in the US or Asia might be worth considering.

Cheers,
NL

If he's thinking long haul, then Banff Springs Hotel (in, er, Banff!) has a lovely Willow Stream Spa.
It'd be nice there, this time of year, too.

Marquis de Risqal in Elciego, Rioja, is supposed to be very good. Designed in and out by the same guy who did the Guggenheim in Bilbao, it looks very special, and the location, facilities, food & of course wine are supposed to be amazing. I'm saving up for an anniversary weekend there, which might be a few years yet..... Rooms from E395

The Prince Maurice and the Touessrok in Mauritius both have fantastic spas. As does Kanuhura in the Maldives.

For a top class city spa, you can't beat the Mandarin Orientals in Hong Kong and in London.

Been here a few times now. It's been closed for 1.5 years for a refurb, but opens again next month. Top place - top views of Salzburg.
