It may appear late that I now step in here to comment, but this thread has only just been brought to my attention.

By way of introduction, I am the General Manager for Greens Vauxhall at both Holborough & Rainham and take a keen interest to ensure we deliver the service expected by all our customers and Vauxhall.

This hasn't been a pleasant experience for Bridonc and although we are making a final effort this week to resolve this once and for all, I'm not comfortable with our ability to guarantee this same issue won't recur on future exhaust systems supplied by Wortec. This last one was fitted by our VXR8 specialist technician, after further guidance from Wortec. Regardless of the outcome of ongoing debates between Wortec & ourselves as regards to if the brackets are or are not strong enough for the rigours they experience, this is not the first incident, but I'm sad to say, it will be Green's last.

Greens have worked very closely with Wortec over the years and have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the VXR brand team in developing products to satisfy the needs of fellow forum goers, such as yourselves.

My public apologies go to Bridonc for this saga and I hope that once resolved you continue to enjoy the fun and excitement related to the VXR8 brand.

Having purchased an 05 CV8 with Wortec zorst, Harrop SC and VXR brakes from Greens in Sept last year, and now having a couple of issues that need to be looked at under warranty, namely fanbelt tensioner squeaking and brake shudder - will I still be able to get these things sorted at Greens? Was looking to call them in the next few days to make a date.

From the garage that gave us the VXR500 it seems a huge shame.

I'm not too sure what the issue is here.........

Can someone expand.
From what i can gather the Wortec exhaust brackets aren't up to the job?
Is this correct?

I have the same system on my 'Ro'.
I have to say the left side has come loose a couple of times albeit, after popping back to my local installer they seem to have resolved the problem.

Having said all of the above I've just put it down to one of those things and I'm very happy with the new exhasut system as it is. Mind you, give me a botton on the console that messes around with noise and performance......and any ickle boy is happy. When I drive past the police station or have the Rozzers behind me.....queit mode is good!

When installed incorrectly, the brackets could stretch because of over tightening. Brawn over brains.
