First thing does anyone have a cure for the engine warning light which is now on intermitantly since having my Tubi fitted?
Secondly I wanted to give you the info I have found and also my thoughts on them since fitting it as I was in two minds as to whether it needed one, the 07 model I have being fitted with the bypass exhaust.
OK - There are two different Tubi exhaust models for the Gallardo - standard and loud (RUMORE).

The big difference between standard and rumore is VOLUME - the regular tubi is just far too quiet and is really only for older customers who have had a tubi on all their cars and now want the performance gain with NO extra noise. There's no point buying this system in my opinion.
Seeing the Rumore arrive it looked a great bit of kit, like a work of art in stainless steel. Once the old system had come of it REALLY looked good, the standard fit one being both massive and very home made looking (wierdly). There must be some weight saving and a few extra horses from the reduced size alone.
Once fitted my fears were instantly gone, wow this Tubi is amazing!!! It pops and farts like a true racing engine on over run and then gives the full F1 on the high revs. It's such a beautiful sound, very complex and multi level, it sounds like its swirling around somewhere in the back, as if the track is being overlaid on a perfect mix. And at gentle revs it sounds like a purring lion. I'm not making this stuff up!
Subtle it is not however, I have already got pulled in it on the second day! A full F1 launch from the lights in London had a police transit so far up my arse I thought he was going to ram me off the road. Once I had apologised profusely and explained to him that my intention was not the break the speed limit, merely to flex the aural muscle of the car, he actually admitted that whilst he didn't condone the speed that I took off and he could nick me etc etc that the car did indeed sound awesome and he was gutted as he would never get one on his wages. He even had me get back in the car to give it some blips of the throttle!

Love it.

If anyone has and answer to the warning light that would be great. Oh yes, worth mentioning that Darren at Autocraft gave me a cracking price on it and did a great job at fitting it. It was defintely worth the drive to Telford. And what a drive back!

How is the sound compared to a 430?
I have an 07 G - with standard exhaust - I love the big rumble, but cruising behind a 430 last weekend I did think the Ferrari sounded better at low speeds compared to the G.

There are 3 tubi`s available for the 06 on Gallardo,I`v tried the rumore, but it`s far too quiet, the loudest is the GTR, which wasn`t loud enough for me so I de-catted as well,on a recent trip to Monaco i was getting 80/100 miles extra on a tank of fuel compaired to two standard Gallardo`s on the trip, the engine is much more responsive but it is LOUD,I saved 36 Kg in weight over the standard system and still no engine warning light

the warning light is proberly down to the fact the vacume valves on the exhausts are not plugged in

try blocking the pipes with something solid stuffed in the vacum pipes (the orange one)

sorry for the late reponse
Thanks for the steer on the meter Jackyum, great bit of kit and I've got one on order
Shots, the Gallardo with the Tubi is way better than the 430 with stock, I ran next to my friends for 5 days in Scotland and he hated it
I can't comment on the 430 with tubi, prob sounds great too (I love cars, not brands)
Ted 191, you're way to hardcore for me, I think most of London hates me when I blast out of town, I couldn't imagine it any louder, would love to hear yours though, not going to Goodwood this weekend are you?
Bev 27- going to try that out, will keep you posted.

Cheers allbiggrin

Thanks for the clip Sarnie... the sound sounds very similar as mine too sounds F1 tastic in tunnel..but I would say its worth the upgrades for the flames alone! Awesome!
Is yours a pre or post 06 model, does it make any difference? Mines in warranty until next year so should I wait until then? Also how are the engine management lights then...surely they go beserk! Answers on a postcard too..
Murcialago boy will check out the other site soon, but thanks for bringing to my attention, had not seen this one beforeidea

Shame, I'm down there on the Sunday as it's the only day not to forecast pissing it down. If there are any other Lambo owners with exotic exhaust systems on then give me a shout on 07748 567000. cheers
