Diff ratios and options...
Discussion
Has anyone done any reasearch into the diff' options on the Cerb'?
I'm interested in effects of ratio change and who to approach, obviously Quaife instantly spring to mind.
What are the costs involved?
What's the ratio of a 'standard' hydratrac diff'?
I've been this route before but only with my old Spitfire and then it was a case of sourcing a 'Swiss' diff for improved acceleration. Things have moved on a bit since then.
Cheers guys.

My Non Hydra diff was 3.45 i have changed to 3.08. The gears cost me £125 shipped fron Ebay Aus, Then the diff to be stripped and rebuilt was another £300. I needed the extra legs to make my 1st useable, but you prolly have different goals.
Cheers,I'm not worried about top end, it's about how quickly I get there.

So, I'm guessing I need to go in completely the opposite direction to you.

Tim, I'm 3.7 cone diff with a set of Tusacn racing ratios. Top end is around 160 but the aero would have restricted that anyway, acceleration is on par with the Tuscan Racers. Jonny
Rebuild is at the collecting bits stage and I'll be out in the GT Cup at Snett if it's not too bad or Brands GP if it is worse than expected.
We also have an ex FIA 1958 Modified Frogeye Sprite now that Ben has paid half for so that will be out at the Goodwood Sprint at the end of the month. It is awsome on 240 slicks and weighing 500kg and an A series that revs to 8500!!!!!!!!!
