bodywork update
Discussion
hi all, the lastweek or so has been pretty gud for us, weve manage to get lots done. we replaced the skuttle recently as you may know so while the A-pans were off we went to town under the arches repairing where needed then some heavy cleaning and a good coat of stone chip. It was time for the A-pans... now these were harder to fit than the skuttle but my fault because they were the only panel that wasnt heritage, regardless we got there in the end and they look pretty good. We then repaired both door steps (making the little plates wasnt easy) this took a while but worth it..

heres a quick before and after

The front end is pretty much ready so we moved on to the back and replace the boot hinge panel which turned out to be more than just the hinge pan, there was a lot of rot where the rear panel curves down and meets the seem (which connects to the valence seem) infact they were 2 seprate pieces so i had to cut a section out just below the drivers side light about 6" long around the curve and replace the whole top seem either side of the hinge pan what a pain in the ass that was but jeff sorted it, (as usual) ive just gotto grind the corner to shape which im not looking forward to.

I cleaned up all inside the boot and sealed it, the boot fits great im chuffed to bits, not to far to go now. A huge thanks to jeff again for all his help i know hes reading.
