Having already had my drivers side door handle replaced under warranty the passenger side is peeling too I wouldn't mind but it doesn't even get used that much as nobody is brave enough to sit on the left of me when the car is moving

Now that I am out of warranty I guess I will have to pay for this flaw out of my own pocket.

If anyone has had it done would you care to share how much it cost?

I imagine it is heat related, at the speeds you go you are melting it straight off!

Doesn't this get covered under the body/paint warranty, I thought that was covered for longer. I can't be assed to dig out the paperwork tho, cos u know its only going to end up in a ruck at the dealers :-( My passenger side also started peeling after I sprayed it with a (low pressure) garden hose. Be Warned !

Why not just take it down to the local spray shop, get them to remove the handle, get them to clean it up and respray it, and no hassle!

I had both of mine done under the warranty (re-sprayed) I did have a big problem afterwards, however that did get sorted out at the garages own expense! but save the hassle, and go to a good body shop in the first place.

The dealership should have to fix it. It is a factory defect, and it is known at GM.

Reported mine some time last year, September ish? Greens agreed to do it... and that was the last I heard of it. I didn't chase it cos it's a looong trek to Kent for a bit of paint!

Mine's gone but since it won't rust seems no point in wasting time having it painted. Patina, I tell myself..

I'd rather just get it done, looks tatty with the paint coming off
