The exhaust manifold on my standard S1 has got a crack in it. I have a Larini ClubSport silencer, and it still has the cat fitted. I was wondering if anyone had any opinion on which manifold I should get, and whether I should take the cat out, bearing in mind I do a few track days (98db limit ones, usually).

The manifolds I've found are Larini, Piper and Janspeed. Any others I should consider? I don't want to be paying a fortune for one either if I can help it.

So, who's got what and how does it sound/perform?

Thanks

Paul

Sorry, Paul. Only just seen your post.

I'm in a similar situation myself - cracked downpipe, and so I've been looking around at possible upgrades.

Bell and Colvill also do a 4-2-1 SS manifold and their price seems cheaper than those you've listed - I think £268.08 for the manifold and £85.11 for the link pipe (exc VAT). There's also one listed on Brooke Kensington's website but it's more expensive than B&C.

I'm put off the Eliseparts one 'cos they don't sell the link pipe separately...

Likely find B & C's is just a janspeed or piper anyway so do shop around. I got a piper of kiwirog on SELOC pretty cheaply c£400 incl vat. Hangar111 said it was harder to fit than the janspeed.......
