Friendly MOT Tester?

Going to struggle with emissions and am wondering if anyone can help me out, otherwise it's a trip to Chester.

My RX7 runs a single turbo with an exhaust that only has a back box, the RX's run a high emmissions rate as standard. If i take it to chester i can pay to have WGT alter the map to get it through, but my worry was if it failed on anything else it's a long way to travel for a re-test.

PS. I've managed to solve the problem with my polo, it must have been my failing alternator belt as it snapped on Wednesday last week since i've replaced it the problem of no idle in a morning seems to have dissapeared
