Dave Hill was at Corvettes at Carlisle 2003 and offered some info on the C6 during a seminar he gave.

The timeline for rollout is:
1. Revealing-Jan 04 at Detroit Auto Show (Coupe model).
2. World Premier for convertable in March 2004 at Geneva.
3. Cars for sale in August 2004.
4. Z06 for sale in 2005.

Also, someone asked a question about brakes. Dave said: "they have extended the technology...", and no, the C6 brakes will not retrofit onto the C5.

Z06 in 2005 - can't wait!

I spoke to Dave Hill about the C6 Z06 at Le Mans this year and he confirmed it would be for sale in Europe.

Now where did I leave my cheque book........

More info from Dave Hill at Carlisle show.

- There will be noticable differences between the Z06 and the coupe/vert other than the roof line

- Z06 will continue to be manual transmission only

- There may be a power top (soft roof) option for the vert

- Navigation, XM and On-Star will be available options

- The C6-R will have its first race at Sebring in 2005
