Can you help ? Just want to buy some shares (60p) and hopefully sell for a higher price (say 120p) but want to take advantage of the gearing CFD's provide.

Limit buy
Limit sell
stop buy
stop sell
linked limiting ?

I've tried investopedia with no luck, just gets me more confused. Not quite desperate enough to post on TMF yet.

Thanks in advance

XYZ is trading at 100p.

1.You put an order in to buy at 90p - that is a limit buy as want to buy better than where the market is trading
2.You put an order in to sell at 120p - that is a limit sell as you want to sell at a better price.
3.You put an order in to sell at 90p (i.e. if the thing falls there) - that is a stop sell - worse than where you could sell now
4.You put an order in to buy at 120 (i.e. if the thing gets there) that is a stop buy - worse than where the market is

Linked limiting is I asuume if you were going to put an order in to buy at 90p (limit buy) and if that gets filled, to sell at 120p. i.e. they are linked.
