With a 1200 mile European trip coming up, I was thinking about what basic spares I should take with me to try and keep mobile if the worst happens.

At the moment I carry the following:
Reel of 5amp wire and a selection of connectors
Selection of fuses and relays
Throttle cable
Ribbed belt
Throttle pot
Big fuse
Selection of nuts, bolts and washers
Laptop cable + Diag software on CD
And, of course, the universal solution to everything - Gaffer tape + WD40!

Was thinking about maybe adding a spare coilpack, but as its a citroen part, I would have thought it's fairly easily sortable.

Any other suggestions?

Oh yeah - there are always a bunch of those knocking about the car anyway!

I also keep a spare spark plug in the drivers door pocket, which doubles as an emergency glass breaker.

Well, I've got one of those too, but it's not going to be as much fun going round the Nurburgring on the back of a yellow flatbedtongue out

Gaffa Tape, insulating tape, a few fuses, cable ties, RAC/AA/ADAC membership and finally a mobile phone.

You do not need anything beyond the above in a car as simple as a Cerb.

Well you never know.

If you do break down you may be there a while.

;)

Oh, and on a more serious note, I carry oil, fuel, tyre foam, cable ties and screws and basic tools.

No one mentioned water! Cerbs do like to overheat. I'd also be tempted to take some spare fuel pipe, just in case.
